Job Summary:
A housemaid in Bahrain is responsible for performing a variety of household tasks, including cleaning, cooking, laundry, childcare, and other domestic duties. The job requires a high level of professionalism, honesty, and dedication to maintaining a well-organized and clean living environment.

Work Schedule:
  • Live-in Housemaid: Typically works 6 days a week with one day off.
  • Live-out Housemaid: Works as per agreed working hours (e.g., 8-10 hours daily).
  • Part-time Housemaid: Works for multiple households on an hourly or daily wage basis.


Requirements

Educational Requirements:
  • No formal education required; however, a basic understanding of household management is beneficial.
Work Experience:
  • Prior experience as a housemaid, nanny, or domestic worker is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience working in Gulf countries (Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman) is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to perform household chores efficiently.
  • Basic cooking and meal preparation skills.
  • Good time management and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

1. Cleaning and Housekeeping:
  • Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all rooms, including bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, and kitchens.
  • Organize household items, furniture, and personal belongings efficiently.
  • Dispose of trash and ensure proper waste management.
2. Laundry and Ironing:
  • Wash, dry, fold, and iron clothes, bed linens, and household fabrics.
  • Ensure proper handling and care of delicate garments.
3. Cooking and Meal Preparation:
  • Prepare and cook meals based on the employer’s preferences and dietary restrictions.
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene and ensure utensils, dishes, and appliances are clean.
  • Shop for groceries and manage household food supplies.
4. Childcare and Elderly Assistance (If Required):
  • Supervise and care for children, including feeding, bathing, and playing.
  • Assist with schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and bedtime routines.
  • Provide companionship and assistance to elderly family members if necessary.
5. Household Organization and Maintenance:
  • Maintain household inventory and report shortages of cleaning supplies, groceries, and toiletries.
  • Handle minor household repairs and inform the employer of any necessary maintenance.
  • Ensure safety measures are followed, such as proper storage of cleaning chemicals.
6. Pet Care (If Required):
  • Feed, groom, and walk household pets.
