Job Description
As a Caregiver/House Help, your primary responsibilities will include:
  1. Personal Care Assistance:
    • Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
    • Helping with mobility and transferring from bed to wheelchair, if necessary.
    • Monitoring and administering prescribed medications.
  2. Household Management:
    • Performing general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
    • Ensuring all rooms are tidy and well-maintained.
    • Managing laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothes.
  3. Meal Preparation and Nutrition:
    • Preparing healthy and balanced meals according to dietary requirements.
    • Assisting with feeding if necessary.
    • Ensuring the kitchen is clean and organized.
  4. Companionship:
    • Providing emotional support and companionship to elderly or disabled family members.
    • Engaging in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  5. Errands and Shopping:
    • Running errands such as grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, and other necessary tasks.
    • Managing household supplies and ensuring essentials are stocked.

Requirements

  1. Diploma or Certificate in Caregiving/Health Course:
    • A formal qualification in caregiving or a related health course is mandatory. This ensures you have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  2. K.C.S.E Certificate:
    • Possession of a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) is required. This indicates a basic educational background necessary for performing various tasks.
  3. Updated CV:
    • An up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV) detailing your previous work experience, relevant skills, and references. Your CV should highlight any experience in caregiving, household management, and other related duties.
Salary and Benefits
  • Salary: The successful candidate will receive a monthly salary of KES 15,000.
